Town of Sparta Bulletin Board

The next monthly Board Meeting will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020  at 6:00 pm.

Due to a misunderstanding, the wording in the tax handout given out at tax collection for the Town of Sparta was misleading.  The handout stated that the Sparta School District tax increase was 69%, due to the $32,000,000 school referendum. That was incorrect. What it should have said, is that 69% of the increase in your total tax bill was due to the 15.8% increase over last year in the Sparta School District tax levy. The Town of Sparta regrets this inaccurate communication.
